The Chisago Lakes Paddle Club is holding an organizational meeting on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:00 at the Uncommon Loon. The CL Paddle Club is open to any person interested in Kayaking/Canoeing on our area water bodies.

Guest Presenters from the MAIRC (Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Research Center) AIS Detector Program will explain how paddlers can assist in the early detection of invasives in our area lakes.

Memorial Day Paddle

Looking for an excuse to paddle the Chisago Lakes Water Trail? We’ll be heading out from Paradise Park on Chisago Lake at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 31, 2021. We should be passing by Lindstrom Beach Park around 10:30 a.m. The group will transverse the North Passage and end up at Center City’s downtown dock area before noon. Bring your own picnic or numerous lunch options are available nearby.

In case of inclement weather, the paddle will be canceled. We will post cancelation by 8:00 a.m. on our website and our Facebook page. If you don’t have a kayak, call up Captain Shawn’s Rentals at 651-769-3343 or check out his website: https://www.captainshawnsrental.com

Labor Day Paddle

Looking for an excuse to paddle the Chisago Lakes Water Trail? We’ll be heading out from Paradise Park on Chisago Lake at 9:00 am to celebrate Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2020. We will be passing by Lindstrom Beach Park around 10:00 am and paddling the North Passage before ending up at Center City’s downtown dock area at 11:30 am. Optional picnic lunch afterwards.

So, call your friends and make a plan to join the paddle fun!

The Chisago-Lindstrom Lakes Association is sponsoring an Impromptu Paddle on Labor Day – Monday, September 2, 2019 from 10:20 am to approximately 12:30 pm.


Labor Day Paddle Route

Leaving Chisago City’s Paradise Park at 10:20 am, paddling to Lindstrom’s Beach Park arriving around 11:00 am. Paddling thru the “North Passage”  and ending at Center City’s downtown docks around  12:00~12:30 p.m.

Optional lunch afterwards (at your own expense on the Grumpy Minnow’s patio).

Impromptu Kayak Opportunity

Last minute, impromptu paddle opportunity. The Chisago Lakes Paddling Club are planning to do a July 4th morning paddle, weather permitting. If interested come to the Lindstrom Beach at 9:00 am on Thursday morning. They’ll paddle from South Lindstrom to North Lindstrom, thru the channel into North Center then either hit the Grumpy Minnow or paddle into South Center or both.
If you are still in the mood for more action, join the CLLA Boat Parade at 2:00 p.m.  off Beach Park in South Lindstrom.

4th Annual Memorial Day Paddle

Plan to join in on the 4th Annual Memorial Day Paddle that will be held Monday, May 27th.  Depending on your choice of launch sites, you can paddle 1, 3, 4 or all 6 lakes on the Chisago Lakes Water Trail.  For the full experience, start at Camp Ojiketa Park at 9:00 a.m. or if you like to sleep in late, meet the flotilla at Paradise Park at 10:45, Lindstrom Beach Park at noon or North Center Lake boat launch at 1:00 p.m.

The full flotilla will rendezvous at the landing  across from the Grumpy Minnow II in Center City where the “after paddle party” will commence.
