The CLLA annual Fourth of July Boat Parade will be held this Thursday, July 4th at 2:00 off Beach Park on South Lindstrom. If you want to decorate your boat and be in the running for our three cash prizes, please show up by 1:45 p.m.
The CLLA parade committee will be judging for the Best Decorated, Most Spirit and President’s Choice awards. You do not have to decorate your boat to be in the parade and can come and go as you please. We will cruise the South Lindstrom lake-shore, thru the channel and onward to the Eagle Ridge subdivision’s marina.
In case of inclement weather, an announcement will be posted on our website (clla-lakes.com) and on our Face Book page by 9:00 a.m. Please stay tuned!
The first of the Full Moon Summer Flotillas will be this coming Saturday, June 15th starting at 8:00 p.m. in the center of North Lindstrom Lake. So grab your friends, nab some beverages and snacks, don’t forget your buoys and get ready for some fun on the water.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 14th off Beach Park in South Lindstrom Lake and Friday, August 16th off Paradise Park in Chisago Lake.
Plan to join in on the 4th Annual Memorial Day Paddle that will be held Monday, May 27th. Depending on your choice of launch sites, you can paddle 1, 3, 4 or all 6 lakes on the Chisago Lakes Water Trail. For the full experience, start at Camp Ojiketa Park at 9:00 a.m. or if you like to sleep in late, meet the flotilla at Paradise Park at 10:45, Lindstrom Beach Park at noon or North Center Lake boat launch at 1:00 p.m.
The full flotilla will rendezvous at the landing across from the Grumpy Minnow II in Center City where the “after paddle party” will commence.
You can thank the concerned citizens and the MN DNR that come together on South Lindstrom Lake in the early 1940’s to help save the fish. You can reap the rewards of their hard work this fishing opener!
What a great way to end the summer – paddling on the Chisago Lakes Water Trail. Join other paddling enthusiasts on Monday, September 3 for a picnic. Summer’s Last Sunset Flotilla will be held on Saturday, August 25th from 7:00 p.m – 9:00 p.m. off Paradise Park on Chisago Lake. Bring your friends, snacks, beverages and buoys for a fun night out with your lake neighbors!In case of inclement weather, the flotilla will be postponed to Sunday, August 26th at the same time.
A group of CLLA members are going to meet up in front of the Eagle Ridge Marina at 8:30 p.m. tonight. At about 8:45, we will cruise along the shoreline over to South Lindstrom to watch the Karl Oskar Day Fireworks, which start around 10:15 p.m. Feel free to jump into the parade at any point and you do not need to be a CLLA Member to participate.
So, bring your friends, snacks, beverages and don’t forget the bug spray!
Due to the wave of thunderstorms approaching our area within the next couple of hours, the CLLA Fourth of July Boat Parade is canceled for this afternoon. We would rather error on the side of caution and have everyone safe!
