We received notification from the MN DNR Area Fisheries Supervisor, Leslie George that the Fond Du Lac band will be spearing on South Lindstrom and Chisago Lake this evening, Wednesday, April 24th.  Our area Conservation Officer has been made aware of this legal tribal harvest activity. This activity is also monitored by the MN DNR Fisheries staff.

Winter Blast is coming …

What you say, haven’t we had enough of winter? Sure by now, most of us are dreaming over seed catalogs or planning a warm weather getaway but there a number of Minnesotans that relish the cold and the snow. If that is your thing, you need to mark January 25th – 28th on your calendar.  Details can be found on the Chisago Lakes Chamber of Commerce’s website:

Take a Kid Fishing Weekend

This weekend is a great time to fish – especially if you fish with a kid. Don’t miss Take a Kid Fishing Weekend Friday, June 9, to Sunday, June 11! Minnesota residents age 16 or older can fish without licenses if they take children 15 or younger fishing.

Learning to fish can be as easy as rounding up some basic equipment and casting a line.

Start by checking out our Take a Kid Fishing Weekend page:

You don’t even need a boat as there is a good fishing pier at Paradise Park and I hear the panfish are biting!
